(Please keep in mind that you will still have 2 streak freezes that are purchasable/collectable, giving you a total of 5 streak freezes. We’re glad you asked! Released in 2016, Duolingo for Schools is a free, learner-centered platform designed to facilitate additional world language learning in classrooms. The only to get the additional streak freezes back once you use them is to wait for 100 days, and then Duolingo will automatically renew your additional 3 streak freezes. However, these streak freezes are actually not re-purchasable once you use them, and cannot be earned in any way. Upon reaching a streak of 100 days, Duolingo gives you 3 additional streak freezes to help you protect your streak. Random people will have it available on Fridays in the Duolingo Store. The "Weekend Amulet" acts as a streak freeze for one or both days of a weekend. Once you lose your streak, it is gone (until you build it back up, of course). This means you must buy your streak freeze on or before the day you miss. The streak freeze is proactive, not retroactive.Individual language streaks will still be reset if you miss a day of practice. The streak freeze only works on your overall streak. After that you have to either buy another streak freeze or do XP-gaining activity on the site to continue your streak. Each streak freeze only preserves your streak for one missed day. However, some can equip 2 streak freezes at a time, each lasting one day. Some users can only equip one streak freeze at a time (except for the weekend amulet, see below). ![]()
